FB started as a way to re-find neat-o college friends, then a few church parents found me, then a bunch of hs friends found me, then... well, as Aimee says, I'm not so good at the social part. See the virtual world isn't so different from the real one!

Anyway, yeah- what Barb says. And your own thought-- she's probably too busy to look around that closely. And if she is having fun seeing all the connections, and there's just one or two "offbeat" friends, I'm sure she'll take it with a grain of salt.

I mean, really, we've all got those friends!MamaKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13101624062181567021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11474308.post-79067291907213922422009-06-01T16:24:09.012-04:002009-06-01T16:24:09.012-04:00If it's not your OWN words you're worried about, t...If it's not your OWN words you're worried about, then I'd go ahead and friend the person.

I know I do more and more self-editing, as more and more people I know are involved in these new media.Barb Szyszkiewiczhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00329184613713551475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11474308.post-38855543797833102322009-06-01T09:41:02.759-04:002009-06-01T09:41:02.759-04:00I'm not so sure if it's me that I don't want her t...I'm not so sure if it's me that I don't want her to see as much as some things some of my friends might post, specifically my brother. Did I just type that? Anyway, I'm leaning toward accepting the friend request. I can't see how she'd be able to delve thru my whole friend list anyway knowing how busy she is.Amy Gigliohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02645173524517798088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11474308.post-87597295481751664932009-06-01T07:50:21.687-04:002009-06-01T07:50:21.687-04:00meant to say "on-line presence"

There are people ...I know EXACTLY what you mean! :)
There are people from church and the kid's school who have found the blog, or who have found me on Facebook, and I do find myself editing slightly when I think of them.

It's usually when I'm about to be especially snarky, so maybe their opline presence is a good thing for my soul. But I do feel like I have to nicen things up for them. Make sense?

On the other hand, not "friending" them makes me feel like they will think I don't like them and I'm not being friendly.

I'm not good at the "social" part of social networking ;)Aimeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16332125903937752882noreply@blogger.com
